Andrew Caldwell Named National HS Strength Coach of the Year

ANDREW CALDWELL NAMED NATIONAL HS STRENGTH COACH OF THE YEAR

Dr. Andrew Caldwell, Spartanburg High School’s director of athletic development and strength and conditioning coach, was named 2023 National High School Strength and Conditioning Coach of The Year during the National Strength and Conditioning Association’s annual awards gala in Las Vegas in July. Spartanburg High School enjoys great success when it comes to athletics, and our coaches and players point to growth in the weight room as a key factor. This year under Coach Caldwell’s direction, our Viking men’s strength team captured the 5A championship at the South Carolina High School Strength Coaches Association State competition. He is developing our students and our programs with excellence of every manner. We are proud of the way Coach Caldwell mentors our student athletes, and we are thrilled to celebrate his accomplishment!
