Our Viking cross country runners had excellent performances at the Trojan Invitational held at Northwestern HS on Saturday. Our Girls Varsity placed 6 runners in the top 21 to finish 2nd overall (out of 13 teams)! Leading the way for the Lady Vikings were Ensley Dyar (19:49), Nora Gray (20:38), Lily Dargis (20:48), Ella Smith (20:51), Jane Harp (21:16), Annabelle Davis (21:21), Cecilia Battocchio (21:50), and Emmy Dyar (21:50). Our Boys Varsity placed 6th out of 19 teams. The boys were led by Hyrum Grinder (17:34), Carter Merchant (17:37), Riley Hansen (17:44), Eric Battocchio (17:46), Miani Crosland (18:15), Levi Elder (18:49), Wilson Neely (19:03), and Joshua Lewis (19:39). The Men's & Women's Swim Teams had wins over Oakbrook Prep and Spartanburg Day School last Tuesday evening as our Vikings celebrated their Senior Recognition at the meet with ten seniors being recognized. They were Olivia Battachio, Ellie Fisher, William Lancaster, Kaedon Ooley, MJ McCoy, Finn McEnroe, Zach Ortega, Amelia Phillips, Clarisa Vereen & Anna Vidrine. The Varsity Girls Golf Team traveled to the Hilton Head Island area this weekend where they participated in the May River HS Invitational. Our Vikings placed second among the 5A participating schools. Congrats to them. The Varsity Girls Tennis Team started region play on Thursday when they hosted Rock Hill with our Vikings taking the 6 - 0 victory! The Varsity Boys Volleyball Team competed in its first ever tournament over the weekend at JL Mann HS. Our Vikings continue to improve in their inaugural season!
