Last week kicked off our fall athletic competition season with many highlights! Monday: The very first men's volleyball match in SHS history. The atmosphere was electric and despite a loss, our Vikings competed hard and looked to build for the remainder of the season. The varsity women's volleyball team earned their 1st win of the season over Clinton in a tri-match. Tuesday: The JV women's volleyball team earned their 1st win of the season in two straight sets over Broome & the varsity team fell in a highly competitive five set match. Thursday: The men's & women's swim teams earned victories over Rock Hill & Boiling Springs in a quad-meet at the Fort Mill Aquatic Center. The C team and JV football teams won their season openers over Gaffney. Friday: The varsity football team started their season on the road at Gaffney. In yet another classic meeting between the two teams, the Indians prevailed late in the game as the lead changed three times in the 4th quarter alone. Our Vikings travel to Greenwood on Friday.
