Vikings Take the Field for Back-to-Back Matchups

VIKINGS TAKE THE FIELD FOR BACK-TO-BACK MATCHUPS

The girls lacrosse team had a busy weekend, competing in back-to-back games on March 6 and March 7. The Vikings hit the field ready to compete, showing strong teamwork, determination, and hustle throughout both matchups. Here’s a look at how the games played out and the highlights from the weekend. SHS 27 to St. James 2 on March 6th The Vikings kicked off their trip to the coast with a win over St. James. 14 different players scored for the Vikings. Evers Morris recorded 7 points and 9 draw controls, and Madysen Bedenbaugh and Martha Barre picked up 5 points each. Reese Sullivan and Saffy Evans led things in the midfield, Sullivan with 4 caused turnovers and 2 goals and Evans with 3 goals and 3 caused turnovers. Jane Colbath and Ann Tolly Taylor scored their first varsity goals in the win. SHS 21 to Carolina Forest 5 on March 7th The Vikings ended their trip with another win and advanced to 4-0 to start the season. Evers Morris had 8 goals and 14 draw control controls. Martha Barre reached 100 career points by having 4 points in the win. Addie Usry had a season high 5 goals and 1 assist. Saffy Evans led the midfield again with 4 points, 3 caused turnovers, and 3 ground balls. Defensively Reese Sullivan picked up 3 grounds and 2 caused turnovers. The Vikings will hit the road again on Wednesday to take on JL Mann.
