to the Boys' and Girls' Viking Swim Teams for their performance in the Region Swim Meet held at Middle Tyger YMCA yesterday! The Boys’ Team placed 3rd and the Girls’ Team placed 4th out of 8 participating schools. Special recognition goes to Anna Camille Elliott, Finn McEnroe, and William Lancaster for being named All-Region Swimmers! Also, a special shout-out to William Lancaster for setting a new team record in the 100 Breaststroke and Finn McEnroe for setting a new team individual record in the 100 Freestyle! Top 3 finishers yesterday were Anna Camille Elliott, Tempe Freeman, Katie Rhyan Davis, and Dessa Nunez in the 200 Medley Relay (3rd); Finn McEnroe, Harrison Babb, William Lancaster, and Andrew Brown in the 200 Medley Relay (2nd); William Lancaster and Finn McEnroe in the 200 IM (1st and 2nd respectively); Finn McEnroe in the 100 Freestyle (2nd); William Lancaster, Zach Ortega, Andrew Brown, and Finn McEnroe in the 200 Free Relay (3rd); Anna Camille Elliott in the 100 Backstroke (1st); and William Lancaster in the 100 Breaststroke (1st). All of the swimmers mentioned above scored points for the team, and so did Claire Lauer, Ellie Fisher, Olivia Smith, Harriet Lynch, Colleen Gallagher, Clarissa Vereen, Kennedy Bozard, Miles Little, Coleman Brewton, Rob Metts, Hampton Lacey, Miles Mullinax, Ian Miller, and Greyson Woodall. The State Championship Meets for the Boys’ and Girls’ Teams will be next Thursday and Friday, respectively, at the Blatt Natatorium in Columbia, SC. Come down and support your Viking Swimmers!
