VIKING ATHLETICS WEEK IN REVIW: The Viking Tennis Teams had another great week of competition winning all three matches. The varsity team won both region matches for the week at Boiling Springs on Tuesday and at Byrnes on Thursday. The JV team won on Tuesday when they traveled to Greenville HS and claimed a 4-3 victory. The Vikings JV & Varsity Volleyball Teams competed well but came up empty on the week in the win column. Both teams traveled to Wade Hampton on Tuesday and hosted state powerhouse, Dorman, on Wednesday. The Varsity Team also competed over the weekend at the Battle of the Burg Tournament at "The Luke Center" and battled hard. Keep up the work Vikings! The Vikings Swim Teams once again played host to two teams (Byrnes & Spartanburg Christian Academy) at the Dr. TK Gregg Community Center. Both the boys & girls teams defeated both opponents in another great evening in the pool. Congrats Vikings! The JV & Varsity Women's Golf Teams competed against Broome last week with both teams winning. The JV's actually defeated Broome twice (on Monday & Wednesday) with the Varsity's win coming at Wednesday's match. The Viking Cross Country Teams competed at separate events on Saturday, 9/13, with the top runners taking the course at the Warrior's Invitational hosted by Waccamaw HS in Pawley's Island and the rest of the teams competing at the Clover Invitational at Clover HS. Congrats to all our runners on great competitions! The Viking Football Teams were idle last week and return to action this week when the Freshman Team host TL Hanna and JV Team host Eastside on Thursday and the Varsity Team travels to Eastside on Friday.
